WHY THIS MIRROR?
An octagonal Venetian-style mirror with a clean central mirror surrounded by a beveled, multi-panel border. Each border panel is etched with scrolling floral/vine motifs in a classic, symmetrical pattern. The corners and panel junctions are finished with deep ruby-red Murano glass rosettes, and the inner edge is accented with a thin gold-toned trim that adds warmth and definition. Overall, it reads as elegant, ornate, and jewel-like—a statement mirror that feels vintage and refined without being overly heavy.
In the sixteenth-century Andrea and Domenico d’Angelo were the first to introduce to Murano glassmaking technique in making mirrors and made it a Venetian speciality. Murano mirrors became very popular reaching their peak in this period and embellished with frames decorated with glass motifs. In the seventeenth century, the mirrors themselves began to be engraved with floral, heraldic, allegorical, or mythological motifs. This was the birth of the classic Venetian mirror, an article that would go on to grace noble buildings all over the world.

ORIGINAL PRODUCTIONS:
All mirrors are made-to-order and handmade in Venice, Italy, with an estimated lead time of 60 days. Designed and crafted by a Maestro Vetraio (Master Glassmaker) with decades of experience.
Please note that every mirror is 100% handmade, every piece purchased can show a slight variation in color and style. The goal is to always create what is shown in photographs as closely as possible.

Once your order is placed and payment is received, orders are generally processed/confirmed within 72 hours (production begins after confirmation).

Because glass is fragile, shipping insurance for transport damage is included.
